Known limitations & practical workarounds

Just for this page. Nothing changes in your app.Mosaic: a source opens in the browser but cannot be collected
Browser playback and app access can use different sessions or supported methods. Check the source address and selected account, then reconnect through the app if the session expired. Try one small catalogue review before a large batch. If the source is unsupported, import a local file you already have instead; changing the URL repeatedly will not add provider support.
Mosaic: a transfer is paused or keeps failing
Read the item’s status before retrying. Confirm the destination drive is connected, writable and has free space. Resume a paused queue deliberately; retry one failed item first. If the provider reports a limit, wait before retrying rather than restarting the entire collection. Send support the exact status if one item still fails.
LiveVault: live status with no recording
Check your recording policy and the connected session, then confirm the app is running, the computer is awake and the destination is available. Some live broadcasts do not expose a recordable stream to that session. Check the same broadcast in the connected browser. If access is unavailable, wait or choose another available broadcast; the app cannot override provider restrictions.
LiveVault: a recording stopped early
Check for sleep, a disconnected drive, low disk space or a lost connection. Preserve the partial file and any error details. Restore the missing resource before the next session. A missed segment cannot be recovered by restarting a live recording; do not overwrite the partial file while investigating.
Both apps: media appears missing after reconnecting storage
Reconnect the original drive and check the file in Finder before changing anything in the app. A catalogue entry and its media file are separate. If the path changed, keep the original catalogue and ask support about the recovery options in your version. Do not clear app data as a first fix.
Both apps: cloud sync is slow or files are unavailable
Check that the sync client has downloaded the file locally and that there is enough local space. Record or download to a stable local destination first if syncing interferes with active writes, then copy the finished file to your chosen synced folder. Syncing is not a substitute for a separate backup.
Still stuck? Send a useful report
Include the app version, macOS version, affected source type, exact error and whether the issue affects one item or all items. Describe the checks you tried and whether the file exists in Finder. Exclude passwords, tokens, cookies and private media. Contact support before deleting catalogue or recovery data.
