A few answers, right here

Little questions. Useful answers.

Which app should I choose?

Mosaic collects local files and supported web sources into a media library. LiveVault monitors TikTok LIVE creators and saves recordings. You can use either app on its own.

Where can I download or buy an app?

Public installers and purchasing are not open yet. Planned prices are shown on the product pages; check the official download page for release availability.

Check availability
Do I have to put my files in the cloud?

No. Choose local or connected external storage. A cloud-synced folder is optional and can still require local disk space. Keep a separate backup of both media and catalogue.

Storage and backups
My source will not connect. What should I check?

Open the same source with the account you connected, confirm it is still available, and check the app’s connection status. Reconnect an expired session through the app. Avoid repeated retries if the provider is rate limiting requests.

Connection troubleshooting
Why is a creator live but not recording?

Monitoring and recording are different states. Check the recording policy, stream access, available disk space and whether the computer is awake. A live status alone does not mean a recordable stream is available.

Check recording limitations
Why does my video have sound but no picture?

Let the recording or download finish first. The file may use a codec the current player cannot display. Keep the original and try a compatible player before considering conversion.

Playback help
What should I include in a support message?

Include the app version, operating system, exact error and the action just before it happened. Mention whether the issue affects one item or all items. Leave out passwords, session cookies, tokens and private media.

Write your message
Can Mosaic use web sources?

Yes, supported web sources sit alongside local files, VK and Telegram. Availability and authentication depend on the source; a playable web page does not guarantee a downloadable file.

Mosaic getting started
Can I record while my Mac is asleep?

Keep the computer awake, the app running and the recording drive connected. A sleeping or offline computer cannot monitor and record a stream.

Prepare for recording
Is a collection the same as a backup?

No. Organisation helps you find files; a separate backup protects against a lost or failed drive. Copy both the media and its catalogue, and check that the backup opens.

Build a backup routine
What if my external drive disconnects?

Reconnect it and confirm the expected location is available before retrying. Avoid starting a duplicate batch while checking whether earlier files completed.

Check your storage
Should I delete a video that will not play?

Keep the original until you have checked whether it is complete and tried a compatible player. Playback failure alone does not establish that the media is lost.

Check playback
Will the browser demo connect to my accounts?

No. Mosaic uses sample items and LiveVault uses a fictional broadcast. The demo does not upload files, connect providers or create actual recordings.

How should I prepare for an update?

Finish active work, back up your catalogue and media, and use only the release listed on our official download page. Keep your existing backup until the updated app opens your library.
